For more than 20 years, Dr. McNelis has dedicated her life to the field of psychology and helping others. She specializes in providing CBT for adults and her clinical expertise lies in treating anxiety and OCD. She also has advanced clinical training in the treatment of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.
Dr. McNelis is also an expert diagnostician and has completed thousands of psychiatric diagnostic evaluations, mental status exams and psychological assessments throughout her career. Along the way, she has perfected the art of having conversations with clients about their diagnoses, while helping them to feel safe, supported and empowered.
Dr. McNelis incorporates mindfulness, exposure techniques, positive psychology and acceptance-based strategies into therapy. She loves to "talk shop" with clinicians at all stages of their professional journeys, and has a particular interest in helping early career therapists gain confidence in their treatment skills.
