Megan is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Colorado native. After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Colorado at Boulder (Go Buffs!), Megan went on to receive her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Denver. Throughout her professional career, Megan has worked with emerging adults, adults, and couples with diverse mental health concerns within a community mental health setting. As a Clinical Associate with Changes Psychological Services, Megan is eager to share her passion for wellbeing and connect with individuals through compassionate and transformative mental health services.
Megan is skilled at addressing a variety of mental health-related issues, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, grief and loss, and sleep disturbances. Using therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Therapy, Megan aligns with her clients in addressing mental health concerns and working towards understanding, accepting, and moving through difficult life experiences. As a Certified Daring Way Facilitator, Megan also uses concepts from Brené Brown’s The Daring Way™ curriculum to explore topics such as vulnerability, shame, and living brave.
With an emphasis on person-centered treatment, Megan strives to create a safe and supportive therapeutic environment that meets clients right where they are in the process of healing. She believes that genuine connection is the key to a positive therapeutic experience, and is eager to support you on your journey to wellbeing.
Megan is licensed to practice in the District of Columbia and Colorado. She is an in-network provider with BCBS PPO and FEP plans.
